The Simpson

Hello, today I want to talk to you about the Simpsons, for me this series is responsible of an important part of my childhood because, I watched a lot of tv when I was a child, in fact, I think that the television educated me a lot.

The Simpsons in particular are very funny. Especially when a reference, attitude or behavior of some of the characters is possible to translate to the reality, the combination of social criticism and comedy is the key of the successful of the series. The stereotypes of the society are very well represented for the characters, this is important too; also, the Simpsons are always updated with the social topics, and expressed from a critical or funny point of view of them.

If a have to choose one of the characters as my favorite, I could not, because I like almost every one, but I could pick a top five. The fifth place is Rafa Gorgory, because he is a pure soul. The fourth place is Carl Carlson, because he plays basketball like me. The third place is for Bart, he and the second place have the best episodes; the second place is for Homer, because he is a genius and he is hilarious. Finally the precious first place is for the great Lenny Leonnard, just because is Lenny, the most important character.  

Holidays

Hello, today I want to tell you about my 2017 vacation, me and three of my friends went to Chiloe island hitch hiking, it was a very enriching experience because I knew very nice people and Chiloe is beautiful, all around Chiloe is green, the landscape is one of the most beautiful I had ever seen.

The travel was very exciting, because I never traveled hitchhiking before. It was a totally new experience for me; we arrived to the island with help of a truck driver, he was transporting flour sacks and fish to Chiloe, and he let us travel in the back of the truck, he was very nice person, he let us sleep in the truck too. Then, when we arrived, my friend and I helped with the sacks.

Then, in the island, first, we went to the Castro mall xd, and we ate in the food area. Then, for the next month, doing hitchhiking, we dedicated to know the nature of Chiloe, national reserves, and contemplate the landscape, we ate the typical food, camped in the beaches or in some days, we slept in the house of a friend.

We knew many people, mostly nice people. We went to all touristic places there are to go. We saw a few cultural performances and participated in a Minga, a water Minga.

Japan

Hi, today I want to tell you about the country I would like to visit, the country is Japan. It’s a very rich country in terms of culture, a culture that is very different from ours, their houses are different, their customs are different, all their life style is a different world for me to discover.  In addition, I like anime, manga (I would buy physically and would not have to watch in the computer) and some board games made in Japan, like yu-gi-oh trading card game, all the cards go out first in Japan, and in America, we have to wait months (or years) to have them.

In addition, I would like to learn the language, and I think that the best way to learn is living in a community where I have to use the language; I would watch anime and manga without the necessity of translation. The food is very different there, and I would like to eat all kinds of food. Another thing is the people, there are very respectful in general, very different to Chile.

Me

My name is Wildo Vicencio, I study architecture nine months ago and I like it a lot. First, because people are studied and their way of inhabiting this world and how to find the best architectural solution for their problems. Second, because I am a very creative and proactive person, which are essential characteristics of architects. Another reason is because I like workshop and how it motivates you to use your imagination to create spatial proposals. I also like manual work and in this career many things are made using cardboard, tip top and glue. These are some of the reasons why I like architecture. Finally, when I leave university I hope to devote myself to helping people from architecture.
